The St. James COPA Foundation is presenting Asia’s Rising Diva, Ms. Gigi de Lana in a musical evening of “Journeying Together” on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the Sylvia P. Lina Theater, De la Salle Zobel, at 7:45 in the evening.
Gigi is one of the country’s most captivating voices today, known for her powerful range, heartfelt performances and magnetic stage performance. Rising to fame through her viral live performances and chart-topping hits, she has since become a sought-after headliner in concerts, music festivals and special events both in the Philippines and abroad. As the frontwoman of The Gigi Vibes, she has amassed millions of followers across social media platforms, with her music videos and live streams earning millions of views. Her versatility shines through genres – from soul-stirring ballads to electrifying pop-rock anthems – all delivered with authenticity and emotional depth.
The concert opens with an overture by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, who will be accompanying Gigi throughout the evening. The concert runs along the theme of “Journeying Together,” the path taken by St. James Parish and the St. James COPA Foundation as a church of the poor, in response to the Catholic Church’s call for its members to walk alongside one another and especially alongside the poor. The concert repertoire mirrors a journey, and the songs take the audience through the stages of a life’s journey, the hopes, expectations, uncertainties, the struggles, the victories, and in the end the realization that it’s all about the people that walked the road beside them.
Through the concert, COPA aims to raise funds for its flagship Adopt-a-Parish program, which currently extends financial assistance to over 300 needy parishes in remote areas of the country. The financial assistance helps power parish priests’ efforts to bring the knowledge of Christ to their poor remote communities.
