Social Action
Ministry (SAM)

COPA has been working among the marginalized and disadvantaged of Muntinlupa, and these are the following:

Two of its main apostolates are the prison apostolate and the hospice apostolate.

Prison Ministry

The prison apostolate’s main mission is to aid in the rehabilitation of inmates and ex-convicts from various prisons. It organizes Bible studies and seminars to inspire hope in their hearts and extends financial assistance to provide material comfort.

Muntinlupa City Jail

For spiritual support, mass is offered every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. We also provide value formation to help inmates deepen their Christian lives.

New Bilibid Prisons

St. James COPA supports the medical program of the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service (PJPS), an organization at the forefront of attending to the physical and spiritual needs of New Bilibid’s inmates.

Hospice Care

The hospice apostolate is supported by volunteers who visit terminally ill patients and provide them solace in God’s word. Through these two main apostolates and other outreach activities, we provide a glimmer of hope to our brothers and sisters in Christ.

A hospice doctor visits terminally ill patients within the Muntinlupa area to provide pain management, medicines, and other medical care needed to make the patient more comfortable.

A priest also provides spiritual and moral support.

Daughters of Virgin Mary Immaculate (DVMI)

DVMI is an institution run by nuns and their basic outreach program is the medical mission to the indigent infants and children from the poor areas within the vicinity of Ayala Alabang Village. COPA helps in purchasing the medicines and paying for

the allowances of the volunteer doctors.

Elsie Gaches Village (Boys and Girls Cottages)

Elsie Gaches Village is a DSWD institution for mentally challenged children. COPA supports a team of volunteers to develop the skills of the mentally challenged children which would allow them to be self-sustaining as they grow older.

Marillac Hills

This is a DSWD institution for female juvenile delinquents, most of whom were victims of rape and other traumatic events. COPA supports the volunteers who regularly help in the rehabilitation and social development of the victims to overcome their experiences and help them live a normal and dignified life.
